Owego Optometrist Attends Meeting

 Dr. Gary Williams, Mrs. Leeann Batten, COVT; and Mrs. Karen Warfle, COVT; attended the 31st Annual Meeting of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) in St. Louis, Missouri, in October. The meeting was attended by 500 optometrists and vision therapists from North America, Europe, and South Africa.
 The educational program emphasized the evaluation and remediation of visual perceptual deficits, the role of vision in dizziness, the treatment of visual problems after brain injury, the evaluation of infants, and current information on brain research on the visual system in the brain.

 Dr. Williams is a past president of COVD and is the current chairperson of the educational program. COVD provides international education and certification for doctors and vision therapists.
