A Renaissance Christmas
The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton will present "A Renaissance Christmas" at the First Presbyterian Union Church in Owego on Saturday, December 8. The costume performance will feature early a cappella music and readings for the Yuletide season. Carols, motets, and early hymns will resonate through the beautiful sanctuary.
The recorder and guitar duo, Simple Gifts, will begin the festive music celebration with a prelude starting at 7:00 pm. The audience will be invited to participate in singing carols of the season. Following the concert, there will be a complimentary reception in the church hall.
Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for seniors and students. Tickets can be bought at the church office and the Tioga County Council on the Arts prior to the day of the performance as well as at the door. Seating is limited. For more information, call 687-1682.
