Former Little Meadows Woman
to Sing at Carnegie Hall

Dianne Chase, daughter of Ruth and Alan Chase of Little Meadows, will perform with the New York Choral Society when they present their Christmas Concert in Carnegie Hall in New York City. Dianne auditioned for the prestigious choir in September. Under the direction of John Daly Goodwin, the choir of 180 members sang at the Richard Tucker Gala in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, in November. That concert will be aired on PBS sometime in February 2002.

Dianne began her music career at Montrose High School with Susan Lewis. She represented the school for three consecutive years at district, regional, and state choruses, as well as All-Eastern chorus. As a student at Penn State, she sang with the Oriana Singers, an all-woman's choir, and toured Europe as a soloist with the Penn State Concert Choir. Last year she performed with the Richmond Choral Society of Staten Island for their 2000-2001 season. She is also an accomplished pianist, and studied for many years with Barbara Garges of Apalachin.

Dianne, a Penn State graduate with a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management, resides in Staten Island, New York. She works as a Compost Project Director at the Staten Island Botanical Gardens.
