Fire Department Helps the September 11 Disaster Relief Fund

At the 2001 Tioga County Business Show on October 4, Virginia Okrasinski (left), Southside Fire Department, presents a check for $2,000 to Fred Gage (center) of the Disaster Relief Fund. Jarvis Henderson (left) attended the business show to represent the Apalachin Fire Department. The Disaster Relief Fund was established to raise money for the orphans of the fallen police, firefighters, and EMS workers from New York City and Washington, D.C. who gave their lives for others during the September 11 attacks.
