At the 2001 Tioga County Business Show on October 4, Scott MacDonald, Acting Director of Waterman Conservation Center, shows off Redmond, a red-tailed hawk, to the crowd. The hawk lives at Waterman Center's site on Hilton Road in Apalachin. Redmond is blind in his left eye and would not survive in the wild because he can no longer hunt. The Business Show was held at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center.
