"Amahl" Returns to Tri-Cities Opera

 Amahl and the Night Visitors, a Southern Tier holiday tradition returns to Tri-Cities Opera in December. Gian Carlo Menotti's beloved one-act opera, sung in English, is celebrating two anniversaries: 50 years since it was first produced for NBC TV, and its 10th annual performance by the local opera company.

 Performances of Amahl and the Night Visitors will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 7; 5:00 and 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 8; and 3:00 and 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 9. General admission seating is $13 for adults, $11 for TCO subscribers and senior citizens, $9 for students, and $7 for children under 12. Performances will take place at the Tri-Cities Opera Center, 315 Clinton Street in Binghamton.
