Help A Hydrant
Fire hydrants have been installed at Post Trailer Park and  the Shady Hill Road area this year. We now have well over 200 hydrants in
Apalachin but only 60 hydrant helpers.

If there is a hydrant near your home, would you please consider signing up to clear that hydrant of snow during the winter months as well as check it for cracks, leaks and missing parts during the rest of the year. It could be your house that the firefighters are responding to some cold, snowy  winter day. If the snow were cleared from the hydrant before we arrived, you would have saved us precious minutes. We ask that  you keep the snow clear for a three foot radius around the hydrant. Simply call 625-2790 to sign up.

Boot Drive
Many of you stopped along Route 434 on Sunday, October 22nd and tossed a donation into our boots. More than $4,000 was raised in that two- hour period for the families of the fallen firefighters, police, and EMS workers on September 11. Thanks for your support!
The Dug Out in Apalachin will be having a benefit on November 10 for the same cause. Admission is $5.00. Entertainment will be provided by Tom Egan and the Mo Jo Boogie Band.

Memorial Service
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 4, at 2:00 pm in memory of the 9-11 attack. The service will take place at the Waverly High School Football Stadium. Dinner will follow for those who wish to attend.
