Obituary
       Richard E. "Fergie" Ferguson

Richard E. "Fergie" Ferguson, 82, of Apalachin, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 19, 2001.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Stella G. Ferguson, Apalachin; one daughter and son-in-law, Janey and Bernie Greenwood of Orlando, Florida; and one son, Craig G. Ferguson of Lancaster, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Fergie retired from IBM-Owego after 36 years of service and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was an avid golfer and pool player, even though he didn't have a right arm. When Fergie was 10-years-old, his right arm had to be amputated after he fell out of tree at the old Owego Country Club where he had been caddying.
At Fergie's request, there was no funeral service. Expressions of sympathy in Fergie's memory may be made to the Apalachin Emergency Squad or the Apalachin United Methodist Church.
