Mikaila Fargnoli, a 5th grader at Apalachin Elementary School, won third place in the New York State Talent Showcase at the State Fair this August. With 250 entries and three days of eliminations, Mikaila won the 3rd place ribbon and a prize of $300. 
 Mikaila has been dancing for seven years under the instruction of Kelly O'Shea of Kelly O'Shea's Performing Arts in Endicott. She is currently in her second year at Ballet Arts Theatre.
 Mikaila is the daughter of Scott and Linda Fargnoli.
