New Church Opens in Owego

A new church geared toward people who find little relevance in traditional churches has opened in Owego. Riverside Church is designed for people who wouldn't normally attend a traditional Sunday morning church service. With upbeat music, Riverside's informal atmosphere is catching on with young and old alike. Messages by Pierino Pieri, the 33-year-old senior pastor, are geared toward real life struggles and issues we all face. Their motto, Real Hope for the Real World, points to the fact that they are striving to give people practical help from a biblical perspective.
Riverside invites everyone to come join them for Riverside Café, a time of refreshments, at 10:15 am, and to stay for a Celebration Service beginning at 10:45 am. They promise a casual friendly atmosphere, upbeat music, quality childcare and practical messages that you will be able to use during the week! Come join them for a church service that is called "refreshingly different"!
Riverside Church is currently meeting at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center, Starfire Room, 1100 State Route 17C, Owego.
