•Pre-School Storytime is Back!
Thursdays, 10:45 am
Children ages 2 1/2 and older can gather for stories, finger
plays and crafts This is a lap-sit program and little brothers and sisters
are welcome to come along. No registration is necessary and the program
is free.
•Book Discussion Group
October 22, Monday
The group will discuss The Law of Similars by Chris Bohjalian.
Please call or stop by the library if you would like a chance to read this
book before the group meets.
•Fire Safety
October 13, 10 am
Joining the Apalachin Fire Department for their Open House. The
library will have activity sheets, stories, and give-aways. Join the library
and AFD for free food, games, and demonstrations.
•Antiques "Road Show" with Appraiser Bob Connelly
October 19, Friday, 7 pm
Park Terrace Methodist Church Hall
Everyone is invited to bring his or her treasures for an evening
of "show and tell." For a suggested donation of $2.00, appraiser Bob Connelly
will give you an honest appraisal of the item as well as an explanation
of its value and manufacturing history. Due to growing popularity, the
program will be held in the hall of the Park Terrace Methodist Church on
Glann Road. Call the library for more information.
•Toddler Fun
October 25, Thursday, 6 pm
Here's a program for those little ones who have just learned
to walk and can't sit still for a whole story. Beginning October 25, this
30-minute program of rhymes, finger plays, and actions will be offered
Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm for six weeks. The program is offered to children
under the age of 2 1/2 and walking. A parent or grandparent should accompany
the child. Please call the library if you would like to attend.
