Jim Saddlemire, a Republican from Owego Second District, has announced his candidacy for the Tioga County Legislature. A life-long resident of Tioga County, Jim will contest the seat held by Independent Richard Huttleston.
 Jim, 57, is a mechanic, plumber, and retired toolmaker. This September, he will complete a 20-year military career. He graduated from Broome Community College with an A. A. S. degree in Industrial Technology with Management emphasis. A Vietnam combat veteran, Jim emphasizes that there is little more political than our Armed Forces.
