| Fatal Farm Accident
The Tioga County Sheriff's Office investigated a fatal farm accident on May 24 in the Town of Tioga. According to a witness, William Lippincott, Jr., 43, of 314 Niger Hollow Road, was pulling tree stumps out of the ground when his tractor flipped over on top of him crushing him to death and almost immediately the tractor started on fire. Members of the Tioga Center Fire Department and deputies put out the fire. Mr. Lippincott was pronounced dead at the scene by Tioga County Coroner Thomas Hyde. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Greater Valley EMS services and the Tioga Center Fire Department. |
