The Tioga County Council on the Arts and the Town of Owego announced this year's "Concerts in the Park," a series of free concerts held Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in Hickories Park.

  July 4 Southern Tier Concert Band (variety/marches)
  July 1 Dave Plaine (Dixieland)   
       with Fireworks!
  July 18 Amy Gallitan (country)
  July 25 Triple Play Band (country rock)
  August 1 Sweet Adalines & Southern Tiersmen (choral)
  August 8 The Governor's Band (Big Band)

 In case of rain, concerts are held at the Owego Middle School, Elm Street in Owego. Call the Tioga County Council on the Arts (687-0785) or listen to the radio for change of venue due to rain.
 Everyone is invited to these free concerts and everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a picnic dinner with the entire family.
 Concerts in the Park are made possible, in part, by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and the Town of Owego.
