Casey's Crossing Dedicated

On Sunday, June 3, Waterman Center unveiled a memorial stone with a plaque dedicating their boat launch site on the Susquehanna River (near Marshland Road in Apalachin) as "Casey's Crossing" in honor of Casey Sierzant. For many years, Casey was one of Waterman's most dependable and capable volunteers. He died on September 8, 2000, at age 64. In appreciation for his efforts and to show how much he was respected and loved by everyone who knew him, Waterman Center dedicated the site in his memory. The plaque on the stone says "Casey's Crossing, Dedicated to Casey Sierzant, May 30, 1936 - Sept. 8, 2000, For his many years of volunteer service to Waterman Conservation Education Center."
