Car Keys

At some point and time we all find ourselves in a bad mood or are simply having a bad day for whatever reason. We also tend to be a little bit crabby towards others although we don't mean to be. Sometimes I find myself to be somewhat sarcastic when I'm not in a good mood. Now anyone that knows me well will tell you that I am usually upbeat and have a good sense of humor. I try not to pass my frustrations on to others. But there are times when I simply can't resist a little sarcasm to make a point. Here are a few examples . . .
There are two cars in the shop, two cars outside with the hoods up being worked on, the parking lot is full, the phone is ringing, I am under a car outside on a creeper. I crawl out from under the car, hit my head on the way out, run to the phone and slip on some oil on the way, crash into the wall, finally get to the phone and the person on the other end asks, "Are you busy?" So I calmly reply "Why no, I'm not busy. You caught me in the middle of a good book." Or I  will say something like, "No, I'm not busy. The twenty cars in my parking lot ran away from home and are meeting here to plan their next move." Keep in mind that I only say these things to people I know and who know I am only playing around with them.
Another thing I have noticed is that it seems the telephone is always out to get me. It will never ring when I am standing next to it. I can stand there for an hour and it won't ring, but as soon as I'm washing my hands and they are full off goop, or as soon as I go to the bathroom and get comfortable on Mother Nature's chair, the phone starts ringing. When I jump off of the toilet and put my bladder on hold to go get the phone and then someone asks, "Are you busy?" I REALLY get sarcastic.
Now you may ask why I don't let the answering machine get it?  I never enjoyed talking to a machine when I know for a fact that there is a person near the phone. So in turn, I like to answer all my calls if I can. And  99% of the time I am polite and cordial. Sometimes I am out of breath because I ran in from the parking lot or I may sound a little frantic because of trying to do ten things at once. But through it all, the main goal here is to try to keep everyone happy and take care of them. I enjoy what I do, but I can't resist having a little fun now and then.
As far as a name for the new bridge being built, I have a good name for it. How about The Premium Auto Service Memorial Bridge? How's that for sarcasm!
Have a great June and enjoy the upcoming Firemen's Field Days.
