First, I would like to thank all who donated to our can and bottle drive. We showed a profit of around $100. This money will be used for a very special event in a few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

May is a very busy month at school. May 7 starts Staff Appreciation Week, with May 8 being National Teachers' Day. The Spring Concert takes place on May 9 and the Science Fair will be held on May 15 in the large gym. Grades K - 5 will have project to view from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Thanks to Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Ripic for their help with this project. May 31 is Kindergarten orientation.

And everyone knows what comes next. It's the last month of school - June is probably the happiest month of the school year for some and the saddest for others. Either way, June will be a fun-filled month - and sad to see several of our staff including Mr. Motsko, our principal, retiring.

In next month's column, I'll give you the complete list so you can all say farewell to a great group who have served our school for many years and wish them all the best of luck.
