Bats in Your Belfry

March 10, Saturday, 3 pm

Every year, Waterman Center receives desperate phone calls that start with the statement, "We have bats in the house and we don't know what to do!" Unfortunately, these calls come in June or July, and it is generally too late to really solve the problem of keeping bats out of the house. Waterman Volunteer Naturalist Herb Stamer will present a program on Bats and Bat-proofing, including a video prepared by Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences followed by a discussion on bats and recent bat related incidents. Registration is recommended. Free for members, $3.00 non-members.

Bluebird Homecoming

Provide a welcome home for migrating bluebirds. Build a nestbox to hang in your yard and learn about New York's state bird led by Naturalist Scott MacDonald. Materials provided; bring a Phillips head screwdriver. Class enrollment is limited. Registration is required. $12.00 members, $15 non-members.
