Strawberry Festival News

The Planning Committee for the 21st Annual Strawberry Festival met on February 13 at the Hand of Man. The plans are moving forward, but more ideas and volunteers are needed. The theme for this year's festival is "Strawberry Delights."

Discussions are planned concerning children's activities and other types of entertainment. Coordinator of the parade entertainers is Bonnie Nicholson at the Tot Spot, and coordinator of the musical entertainment during the day is Craig Maury of the Tioga County Council on the Arts.

If you want to volunteer for the Strawberry Festival, contact the Chairman of the Strawberry Festival Committee, Pat Hanson of the Hand of Man. Write to PO Box 425 Owego NY 13827 to contact Hanson, Nicholson, or Maury, or if you are interested in vendor space.

The next meeting of the Strawberry Festival Planning Committee is on March 6, at 5:15 pm, at the Hand of Man, 180 Front Street, in Owego.
