Growing Communities
through Community Gardens Meeting

When was the last time you ate a homegrown tomato? If you have an interest in gardening, processing and preparing your own fruits and vegetables, eating healthier, strengthening your local food system, or just getting outdoors, then consider attending the public opportunities meeting for the Growing Communities through Community Gardens program. The meeting will be on March 29, at 7:00 pm, at the Family Resource Center/St. James School Building, 505 Clark Street in Waverly.

The staff of Cornell Cooperative Extension, Tioga County recently expanded their outreach through a grant from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The Growing Communities through Community Gardens program is loaded with opportunities to green your thumb and your neighborhood.

Child care may be available during the meeting by calling the Family Resource Center in advance at (607) 565-2374. For more information, contact Anthony Liguori, Cornell Cooperative Extension, at (607) 687-4020.
