• The Town of Owego Zoning Board gave approval for a special use permit Central NY Oil and Gas.

• Subway will be relocating to train station in Apalachin pending permit process approval .

• ExpressMart in Apalachin is scheduled to be open by Christmas.

• Tobey Road / Stevens Road (in Apalachin) sewer and water project should be operational by month's end.

Village of Owego

• A public information meeting concerning the proposed new county office building was held last month at the OFA Middle School. Many business owners, residents, and elected officials were in attendance. Most opinions were against the proposed location for the county offices. It was also noted more direct lines of communication need to be open.

• December 8 is the annual Light Your Way to Christmas. Come down and support your local merchants. Starts at 5:00 pm.

Tioga County

• On December 6 the Tioga County Legislature will vote this years budget. The tax levy is down about 83,000 dollars from last year.
