 Ballads & Dance Tunes at Awakenings
The Seneca Moon String Band will be playing ballads and dance tunes of a hundred years ago on 30 different instruments on Saturday, November 11, at Awakenings Coffeehouse in Owego. Doors open at 6:30 pm with open seating. Music will be performed at 7:30 pm and at 8:30 pm. Donations are accepted. Awakenings Coffeehouse is at 208 Front Street in Owego.
 

Used Book Sale
A Used Book Sale will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, at the Coburn Library in Owego. Hours of the sale are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, and 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, with a bag sale on Saturday from 4:00 pm to close. The Coburn Library is at 275 Main Street in Owego.
 

Spaghetti Dinner
There will be a Spaghetti Dinner on Tuesday, November 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows and Seton Middle School. Tickets for the dinner is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children under 12, and free for children under 2. Tickets are available at the door, or contact the school office at 748-7423. The school is at 1112 Broad Street in Endicott.
 

Carousel Harmony Chorus
Carousel Harmony Chorus presents ASaving Saint Harmonious,@ a spirited and sprightly musical review in barbershop style, on Saturday, November 18, at 7:00 pm at Binghamton High School. The concert also features Buff-N-T performing pop, country, and jazz selections. Tickets are $15 at the door, or $12 in advance, $10 for seniors and students. Tickets are available at Discount Wallcovering on Clinton Street, 722-1144 or 625-4772.
 

DAR to Meet
The Beulah Patterson Brown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will meet at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, at 289 Front Street in Owego. Cynthia Elinoff of P & L Capital Management will speak on AInvestment Counseling for Women.@ Contributions to DAR Schools Christmas fund will be accepted. Members, guests, and women interested in joining DAR are cordially invited to attend.

Korean War Memories
The Vestal Historical Society would like to plan an exhibit for next year that would highlight the contribution of area veterans to the Korean War (1950-1953).
 If you or someone you know served in the Korean War and would like to share their experiences or loan their memorabilia to the museum, please contact Jan Roosa or Virginia Wood at the museum or Gail Covert at 797-5611.
 

Fall Craft Fair in Apalachin
With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, it has become a tradition at the Apalachin United Methodist Church to hold its Annual Fall Craft Fair. This year=s fair will take place on Saturday, November 18, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The fair is sponsored by the UMW in connection with the Sew >n= Sews. Proceeds will benefit various missions of the church. Lunch will be available.
The Apalachin United Methodist Church is at 303 Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.
 

Coat Drive
St. Margaret Mary=s Jr. High Youth Group is sponsoring their 4th Annual Coat Drive now through November 19. Please bring clean, useable winter coats for those in need. You can bring the coats to St. Margaret Mary=s (at any Mass) at 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin. You can also bring the coats to the Apalachin Library (during regular library hours) at 79 Main Street in Apalachin.

Turkey Party
St. Francis Xavier Church=s Annual Turkey Party will take place on Thursday, November 16, at 7:30 pm in the church hall in Friendsville. There will also be a Bake Sale at the Turkey Party. The ladies of the St. Francis Altar & Rosary Society will be selling some of their favorite goodies for the occasion.
 

All Day Pancake Feed
Pancakes, homefries, waffles, applesauce, eggs, juice, sausage gravy, omelettes of all kinds, coffee, and dessert are on the menu at the All Day Pancake Feed on Saturday, November 11, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Warren Center United Methodist Church in Warren Center, Pennsylvania. This is a free-will donation. The All Day Pancake Feed is sponsored by the Warren Center United Methodist Church.
