Dinner Meeting
Join the Owego Business
and Professional Women's Club for dinner on Monday, November 27, at the
Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego.
Networking starts at 5:30
pm, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm and a program at 7:00 pm. Veleria Thompsom-Ramos,
founder of the Afro-Caribbean dance and percussion group Kuumba will
speak about the group and will dance accompanied by her drummer Nathan
Brown.
Woman
of the Year Award
The Woman of the Year Award
will be presented to Alice Mishke, owner of Gallery 41 on Lake Street in
Owego, and Jamie Howard, owner of East of the Sun, West of the Moon on
Front Street in Owego. Both women have shown excellence and achievement
in their business careers, mentored and assisted the advancement of other
women, and provided outstanding community service.
