Workshop - Effective Workplace Communication
The Owego Business and Professional Women's Club (BPW), in recognition of National Business Women's Week, is sponsoring a full day professional development workshop, entitled "Effective Workplace Communication: Resolving Conflict, Dealing with Differences." This hands on, practical workshop is designed to help participants develop strategies to improve communication, build trust, and resolve conflict. Participants will explore the reasons for conflict, understand their own behavioral strengths and build upon them, and develop individual plans to improve their relationships with others.

The workshop will be held in Owego on Thursday, October 26, from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, at a location to be announced. The cost to participate is $69 each, or $59 each when two or more register together. An additional $5 discount will be given to those who register by Tuesday, October 17. Alice Wojcio, a professional training consultant and member of Owego BPW, is donating her time to deliver this workshop.

BPW is committed to achieving equity for all women in the workplace. As a voice for working women, BPW offers opportunities like this for personal and professional growth, scholarships for local high school students and for women returning to school or to work, and helps people develop leadership and management skills. Proceeds from this event will support local BPW programs. For more information or to register, call 607-786-0017.
