Apalachin All Stars Win West Corners Tournament
     After winning their first game over Binghamton West 15-4, the Apalachin All Stars faced Binghamton South West. They won that one 17-0 with Mark Eddinger pitching a 2 hitter. They next faced their big rival, Elmira, winning 5-0, with James Ramsay pitching a 1 hitter with 16 strike outs. Binghamton East won the next game 4-1 with Apalachin All Stars' Marc Baker striking out 10 and helping himself with 3 RBI's. 
     The Apalachin All Stars faced Elmira again for the championship. The All Stars lead 1-0 through the first 3 innings, Elmira answered in the 4th with a run to tie it 1.1. In the 5th, Eddinger singled up the middle and Ramsay hit the second pitch over the right field fence to take a 3-1 lead and that was enough to win the game. James Ramsay .579, Marc Baker .564, and Ross Youmans .524 led the way for the season.
      Apalachin also took second place in the Fenton Invitational for 11- and 12-year-olds, which took place in Maine, New York.
