Help-A-Hydrant
The Apalachin Fire Department is
again seeking volunteers for their Help-A-Hydrant Program. Every year volunteers
come forward and donate their time to keep a hydrant near their home clear
of snow for a three-foot radius during the winter season. They also check
for leaks, cracks, or missing parts. They need you!
If a fire should start in your home, you can save precious time for the firefighters if you assure that the hydrant is clear of any snow before they arrive, thus enabling the firefighters to get all the wet stuff they need to put on the red stuff as soon as possible. Every second counts when dealing with fire.
Please call 625-2790 today and help
save a life, or a house, or a car, or whatever may catch fire. Your reward
is the satisfaction in knowing you are doing your part to help your family
and your neighbors. "You depend on us . . . we depend on you!"
