Little People/Big People
May 4, 11, 18, 25, Thursdays, 1-2pm
All three- and four-year-olds and their "big people" are invited to join Naturalist Lisa Rodgers for a weekly nature class. They will play games, make crafts, go on hikes, and explore the natural world. No siblings, please. $12 members, $16 non-members. Registration required.

 Green Salve Class
May 6, Saturday, 1pm
Patty Hitt will share a recipe taught to her by a Cherokee Medicine person. The salve can be used to heal bites, rashes, cuts, and other ailments. $2 for members, $4 for non-members.

Salamander Hike for Families
May 7, Sunday, 1-2:30pm
Come spend the afternoon peeking in puddles and peering under rocks for wiggly, squiggly amphibians. $1 for members, $2 for non-members.

Raptor Project

Did you know that the skeleton of an adult eagle only weighs as much as a large apple? Come to Waterman Center and learn lots of interesting facts about birds of prey. Jonathan Wood of the Raptor Project will bring 15-20 live eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons to Waterman Center on Mother's Day. Concessions and crafts for the kids will be available. The 10:30 am session is for adults only. $4 for members, $6 for non-members.

Full Moon Hike
May 18, Thursday, 8:30 pm
The days are getting longer and longer. Come on this popular hike and look for crepuscular animals (active at dusk and dawn) and see who's going to sleep and who's waking up. Bring a flashlight. $2 for members, $4 for non-members.

Wildflower Plant Sale
May 20-21, Sat & Sun, 10am-4pm
Plant sale features woodland wildflowers as well as other wildflowers, perennials, annuals, herbs, and ornamental grasses. Plant offerings will include a variety of deer resistant plants, in addition to those that attract butterflies, and/or hummingbirds.

 Father's Day Breakfast on Hiawatha Island
