2nd Annual Quilt Show
Month of May
The theme for this year's show is
"What Goes Around, Comes Around" and features group projects by regional
quilt guilds, historical quilts made for community projects, and quilt
styles which have come back into popularity.
Quilt Appraisal Day
Saturday, May 6
Have your quilt appraised by certified
quilt appraiser Eugenia Barnes. Registration is required with four slots
per hour between 10am and 3:30 pm. Cost is $25 per quilt.

Storytelling Program
May 13, Saturday, 1 pm
An afternoon of "Pieced Together
Stories" gives families ideas for sharing and preserving their stories.
Storytellers Hart and Grace will present their engaging program, "Celebrating
Families." They share specific ideas for telling stories as memories and
traditions in families, and give some concrete examples of how to preserve
those stories. The program is intended for all ages. Pre-registration is
not required.
Walking Tour - Susquehanna River
History
May 13, Saturday, 11am
From commercial rafting to pleasure
steamboats, learn how the river influenced local development and life.
The tour is lead by Emma Sedore, Town of Owego historian, and author of
Hiawatha Island, Jewel of the Susquehanna. The tour will last about an
hour and a half. Tickets are $5 per person, $2.50 for members.
