Month-Long Quilt Show in Owego

Join the Tioga County Historical Society museum and regional quilters guilds for a month of colorful quilts and exciting programs.

The Tioga County Historical Society and Valley Quilters of Newark Valley will be presenting a second annual quilt show during the month of May. This year's show is working with the theme of "What Goes Around, Comes Around" and features friendship quilts, group projects, and other community related quilts. The show includes both historic quilts from the collections of the Tioga County Historical Society, and modern quilts made by members of regional quilters guilds.

This exciting quilt show will be on display in the West Gallery of the Tioga County Historical Society Museum at 110 Front Street in Owego. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A month of exciting quilt related events will be offered in conjunction with the quilt show at the museum:

• May 6 - Quilt Appraisal Day

• May 12 - Regional quilters' luncheon

• May 13 - Family Storytelling Program

• May 20 - English Paper Piecing Workshop

• May 25 - Slide Lecture on Amish quilts.
