< Little People, Big People

January 12, 19, and 26, Wed, 10:30am

All three- and four-year-olds and their "big people" are invited to join Naturalist Lisa Rodgers for a weekly nature class. Children will play games, make crafts, hikes, and explore the natural world. No siblings please. $9 for members, $12 for non-members.

< Outdoor Knots

January 16, Sunday, 1pm

Experienced Den Leader and Cub Master Scott MacDonald teaches rope tying and knots. Demonstrations and hands-on activities. For beginners aged 7-10. Space is limited. $2 for members. $4 for non-members.

< Annual Meeting

January 17, Monday, 7pm

All members are invited to attend the annual meeting. Meet the board of directors and the staff. See new exhibits and learn about Waterman's plans for 2000. Coffee and desserts provided. Call to register.

< Tracking for Kids

January 17, Monday, 1pm

Children ages 5 to 10 are invited to learn tracks and track patterns of local animals, play games, make track books and go out into the woods to test their skills. Dress for the weather. $3 for members, $5 for non-members.

< Making Moss Animals

January 22, Saturday, 10:30am

All 8-12 year-olds are invited to join Dave Hillis, the "Professor of Aesthetic Enhancement" to make a miniature animal out of different kinds of moss. Mr. Hillis recently volunteered as a moss expert to help Waterman's Garden Committee identify the plants in their new moss garden. You may have seen his work outside of the Skylark Diner in Vestal. $2 for members, $4 for non-members. Call to register.
