Hooker Hits Another Jackpot

Gives Winnings to Family

Owego's Floyd Hooker, who won a $45 million New York State Lotto jackpot on March 17, 1999, recently gave his sister-in-law a winning TAKE FIVE ticket worth $45,087. New York Lottery officials announced that June M. Hooker of Owego was one of four first-prize winners of $45,087 each for the TAKE FIVE drawing on Friday, October 15, 1999.

"I received the ticket as a gift from my brother-in-law," said Mrs. Hooker.

Commenting on his big $45,000,000 win in March, Mr. Hooker said, "I'm still the same. Now, until I win the big one again, I'm going to share my other winnings with my family."

Mr. Hooker purchased the winning TAKE FIVE ticket at Community Shop IGA on North Street in Owego. The winning numbers for Friday, October 15, 1999, were 13, 19, 32, 35, and 38. The three other winning tickets for that game were sold in Richmond, Bronx, and Nassau Counties.
