Christmas at the Inn to be Held Oct 17

Christmas at the Inn is the theme for a large juried craft show that will be held on Sunday, October 17, at the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn (former Guthrie Inn). The show is from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and parking and admission are free. The Grand Victorian Inn is offering a brunch discount to all show attendees (reservations are recommended, call 570-888-7711).

The Athens Rotary will be holding a raffle. All of the craftsmen donate one item to the raffle table. The winner receives all that is on the table, and you need not be present to win.

The artists showing and selling are as follows. Amy Cote with country and primitive wood and soft sculpture; Tonya Cowles from Scio, New York, with decorative painting; Gail West with clay minis, saltdough, filled baskets, jewelry, and clay figures; Beth and Dick Moore with beeswax air fresheners and ornaments; Kathy Gibbs and Jan Fassett with country ceramics; Kriemhild Chaffe with designer hand made sweaters; Bob and Deb Chamberlain with country wood and dolls; Monica Eaton with wood miniatures and ornaments; Russ and Cindy Hamm with handpainted brass jewelry; Colleen Ricci with fine handpainted wood and Santas; Carol Wolstencroft with pecan resin Santas, snowmen, ornaments, and pins; Karen Gilbert with corn husk art and tin punch candle facings; Kim Barton with country bears; Jennifer Chandler with large country and primitive wood and dolls; Elwood Becthwith with handcrafted baskets,; Charlene McGraw with five Christmas trees full or ornaments; Cindy Dunlap with designer sweatshirts; Kathie Goodwin with collectible bears, raggedy Annie snowmen; Elaine Matson with Victorian bears; Maralyn Yaple with fine herbal soaps; Belle Culing with rag garland, wreaths, button necklaces, tree trims, and wax ornaments; William and Beverly Smith with find wood items; Lois Gordon with collectible bears; Howard Walker with country wood crafts; Carolyn Shrauger with quilted wall hangings; Rose Larimer with candles and pressed flower; Melanie Kocsis with stained glass, Marisa Hudak with everlastings; Jan Fissler with folkart bird houses; and Terry Virtue with gourmet baked goods.
