This program is free to the public.

This event is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency. In Tioga County, the Tioga County Council on the Arts administers the Decentralization Program. If interested, please call the library at 625-3333.

A Most Beautiful Quilt

The Apalachin Library has been given the most beautiful quilt. The Churn Dash on Route 434 in Apalachin has donated a lovely block quilt designed from squares entered in their Apalachin Hometown Quilt Block Contest. The center of the quilt features the winning square, a lovely hummingbird designed by Alicia Griggs of Owego.

Stop by the library soon to learn how you might become the lucky owner of this wonderful work of art.

Many Thanks

Many Thanks to the Apalachin History Committee for their donation of a new biography on J. Alden Loring, a local resident and internationally known naturalist at the turn of the century.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are always needed at the library. Stop in and check out the notebook of projects and programs. There are volunteer needs to fit just about everyone's abilities and available time. No offered hand will be turned away!
