All former Little People are invited for a reunion at Waterman Center. Eileen Shatara will introduce the new Little People teacher, Lisa Rodgers. There will be hiking, a craft, and a snack. $5 for Little People. Friends and family free.

Nature writer and guide Rick Marsi presents slides from his travels in Costa Rica. If you are interested in Waterman's Guided Tour in February 2000, you won't want to miss this. Free.

Meet John Coston, the new volunteer coordinator. Bring a dish to pass, your own place setting, and a friend who might be interested in becoming a Waterman volunteer. Pizza, soda, and desserts provided.


< Full Moon Hike

Join Naturalist Lisa Rodgers for a moonlit hike. Free for members, $2 for non-members.


< Steak Dinner on Hiawatha Island

Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a steak dinner, desserts, and coffee on the night of the full moon. The Java Joe Jammers will be there for your listening pleasure. The first boat to the island leaves at 5:00. Others leave every 10 minutes after that. Cost is $35 per person, $60 per couple. Rain date is September 26.

Eileen Shatara will introduce Naturalist Lisa Rodgers. Lisa has a M.ED. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and has taught preschool. Activities, crafts, and a snack will be provided. This program is only for 3- and 4-year-olds. $3 members, $4 non-members

Naturalist Club of Broom County member Chris Barnes leads a search for birds who have not left for winter. Bring binoculars. Rain date is October 3. Free for members, $2 for non-members.


< Breakfast on Hiawatha Island

< Waterfowl Identification

October 4, Tuesday, 6-9 pm

Richard Quest teaches waterfowl identification using slides, photos, and videos. A waterfowl ID certificate will be issued to all who pass a test at the end of the program. Sponsored by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Free.
