New physician joins Guthrie's
Internal Medicine Department

Sayre, PA - Muhammud A. Wattoo, MD, has joined the Internal Medicine Department at Guthrie Clinic in Sayre. Dr. Wattoo comes to Guthrie from his private practice in Augusta, GA. Prior to private practice, Dr. Wattoo served as a primary care physician with the South Care Medical Center in Hephzibah, GA.

Dr. Wattoo received his medical degree from the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his residency and internship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. He has also completed clinical and research work at the University of Punjab, and clinical clerkships in general medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and community medicine.

He is board certified as a diplomate by the American Board of Internal Medicine and possesses certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Wattoo is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, and received a Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association.

Dr. Wattoo has participated in a number of voluntary medical activities providing medical assistance to homeless and needy patients. He has also assisted in

organizing medical camps in the remote areas of Pakistan for needy individuals.
