Summer Reading Challenge

We challenge every child to read this summer. Sign up at the library now and you can earn prizes for reading books this summers. Free ice cream, slinkies, and more! Stop by the library for details and registration forms. Take the challenge and read.

Activity and Storytime

July 13 - August 10,

Tuesday Mornings, 10:15-11am

Separate programs for readers and for pre-readers will focus on a different celebration each week. Planned activities include games, crafts, storytellers, juggling, and more.

Friends of the Library Raffle

Raffle tickets are now on sale for a chance to win Brad and Bonnie, a pair of Plush Music Box Bears from the San Francisco Music Box Company. Other prizes include a jigsaw puzzle, a book for dog lovers, a soft-sided brief case, and more. Tickets are $1.00 and only 500 will be sold.

Magic Show with Mike the Clown

July 29, Thursday, 7pm

The Apalachin Library is sponsoring a magic show by Mike the Clown at the Apalachin Methodist Church on Pennsylvania Avenue. The show is free and everyone is invited.

Third Annual Ice Cream Social and Book Sale

August 5, Thursday evening

Enjoy ice cream and cake as you listen to the music of the Owego-Apalachin School Summer Music Program including the very popular Summer Jazz Band. The event will be held at the Apalachin Firemen's Field Day Grounds.
