LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Stop the "Mud Slinging"

I was appalled by the campaign of this election. The criticism, the accusations, the "mud slinging." I would think that an individual who is asking for the privilege to represent the people of a city, county, district, or state would be more dignified. If the candidate is so mindless that they can only point an accusing finger at their opponent, then perhaps they are not qualified to run for office at all.

I would prefer to listen to the ideas the person has. Ideas for solving problems such as: how to support a national health care system, how to cut taxes without cutting services, how to improve the quality of education for our youth. I would like to hear them offer proposals that would solve problems we are facing today, proposals they would submit to the legislative process.

Stop with the "mud slinging"! I want to see candidates that are productive thinkers, problem solvers, and assets to the people they represent.
