Little People, Big People

November 5, 12, & 19, Thursdays

10:30-11:30am

This program is open to all 3- and 4-year olds and their adult chaperones. Each week, naturalist Eileen Shatara will explore a new nature theme through a variety of activities: hikes, games, stories, show and tell, and arts and crafts. This special class will feature a lunch during the last half hour. Bring your own lunch. Class size is limited. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Cost is $12 for members, $16 for non-members for the month.

Snowshoe Repair

November 14 and 21, Saturday, 1-3pm

Stop by Waterman Center to watch the repair of some of their damaged snowshoes. They will be using traditional methods with modern materials. If you are interested in learning how to repair those snowshoes on your wall, this is a good program for you to see. Free for all those willing to help with the repairs, $3 for anyone else.

Stories in the Stars

November 18, Wednesday, 7-9pm

There will be a new moon in the sky, so the stars should be out in all their glory. Participants will share a few stories about the stars as we sit around the campfire.

Waterman Center Building Closed

November 26, Thursday, All Day

In order to allow the staff to enjoy the holiday with their families, the Exhibit building will be closed. The trails are open as usual from dawn to dusk.

Tree Tagging

December 5, Saturday, 10am-4pm

For the last couple of years, Waterman Center has offered you the opportunity to visit a Christmas tree Farm in Candor to choose your own tree. This year, they will once again be visiting the Crowe's Nest Tree Farm in Candor to search for that perfect tree. You may cut your tree, or wait and have it delivered to Waterman Center on December 12.
