Fall Festival at St. Patrick's

The St. Patrick's Fall Festival will be a weekend filled with food, games, and fun for everyone. This year's festival will be held Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, at the church and school grounds in Owego. The fun will start Friday night at 4:30 pm with a chicken barbecue.

Entertainment on Friday will include music by Trace of Grace and Destiny, Clowns for Jesus, and ventriloquist Dean and Friends for the young and young at heart. The highlight for Friday evening will be a prayer service and memorial luminary dedication.

Saturday's highlights include William the Magician, an interactive story time, Charity the Clown and music by Duets with Love and the Morgan Street Band. Activities on Saturday start at 11:00 am. The day will conclude with an auction that begins at 7:00 pm. There have been lots of great items donated for this year's auction, including Erin and Princess beanie babies.

New this year will be a White Elephant Sale with new and used treasures, a free blood pressure screening by the St. Margaret Mary's parish nurse program, and the General Store with penny candy, homemade soaps, candles, fall mums, and fresh picked apples, all in an old fashioned atmosphere. As always there will be crafts and used books for purchase, games and crafts for the kids, face painting and a fun bounce. The Maple Leaf Grill will feature speidies, sausage and peppers, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and roasted corn. The Shamrock Cafe will have delicious desserts and coffee both days. Admission to the festival is free and all are invited to attend.
