A Unity Walk to benefit the services of New Hope Center will be held on Sunday, June 7, at Hickories Park Pavilion #5 in Owego. The walk begins at 10:30 am, rain or shine. Sign-in and coffee are from 9:00 to 10:30 am.

New Hope Center is located at 20 Church Street in Owego. It serves all of Tioga County with domestic abuse serves, rape crisis center, and women and children's shelter.

If you would like to participate, register by calling 687-6887 or 687-6179, or faxing 687-6119. Then get sponsors - ask family, friends, and co-workers to be your Unity Walk sponsors. There is a $20 suggested entry for each walker (that is, minimum sponsor donations). However, you are encouraged to raise as much money as possible. Walkers who raise $100 receive a Unity Walk T-shirt. There are also prizes at the $250 and $500 levels.

Walkers who send in their donations by June 1 receive one chance for each $50 donation in the Early Bird Drawing for a 19" color TV. All pledge money is due at sign-in on the morning of the walk.

Donations will help fund domestic violence services in your local community.
