A Futurist Perspective for Space

Ken Cox of NASA's Johnson Space Center will give a presentation on this country's strategic thinking for space. The presentation will be on Thursday, May 14, at Morey's on Front Street in Binghamton. During the presentation, major emphasis is placed upon networking and developing cooperative relationships between government, industry, academia, media, foundations, professional societies, trade associations, and audience participation. A space futuristic perspective is given by viewing Earth-space as an integrated system and by understanding major influence factors, significant trends, and future opportunities. Strategic patterns and evolutionary insights required for human settlements beyond Earth are framed.

Agenda for the evening include Attitude Adjustment/Networking from 5:30-6:15 pm; Dinner from 6:15-7:30 pm, and Awards/Presentation from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Cost is $16. Dinner selection includes Prime Rib, Broiled Chicken Breast with Rice Pilaf, and Broiled Orange Roughy, Lemon & Pepper Seasoning.
