Re-Zoning: Public Hearing

Approximately 100 people attended a public hearing on April 21 for the re-zoning of residential property on Main Street in Apalachin. The majority of those attending spoke out against re-zoning the Taylor property for the purpose of a hotel, sighting that it would bring undesirables to the area. Everyone spoke in favor of re-zoning the property occupied by Nick's Garage.

The Owego Town Board decided to table both matters until their meeting on May 19, at 7:30 pm. At that time, they will re-open the public hearing and vote on the issues.
