Fall Gardening Seminar

"Bloomin' in Tioga" and Tioga Gardens present "Takin' It Inside," a fall gardening seminar on Saturday, October 25, at Tioga Gardens, 2217 Route 17C, Owego.

The seminar consists of two sessions. The morning session includes "Rare and Unusual Begonias," 9:00 to 10:30 am, with Kathy Goetz, Internet Editor for the American Begonia Society; and "The Art of Bonsai," 10:30 am to Noon, with Robin Hamm, Instructor and Owner of Greenman Bonsai. Following a lunch break, the afternoon session includes "Indoor Light Gardening on the Cheap," 1:00 to 2:30 pm, with Duane Campbell, Syndicated Garden Columnist; and "Indoor Christmas Decorating Ideas," 2:30 to 4:00 pm, with Chris Kuhlman, Master Designer and Co-owner of Tioga Gardens.

Fee is $6.00 for the morning session, $6.00 for the afternoon session, or $10.00 for all day (which includes free sandwiches and drink).

Proceeds from the seminar benefit the "Bloomin' in Tioga" fund in honor of the late Terri Hrubes, former Assistant Director of Tourism for Tioga County, who was killed in a car accident last month.
