Village of Owego firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment house at 42 Temple Street on August 21 at 9:45pm. The building, owned by George Awad of Owego, was home to four families. The 911 dispatch call stated that there were two residents still in the building. Three neighbors went into the building to get the two residents out before the fire department arrived. The two residents were treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation. Pictured below are Dennis Pond (L), Shawn Edick (C), Don Fellhaurd (R), who went into the building to save the two residents.
