McGlynn Recognized as Student Leader, Meets President BushBrian McGlynn, son of Henry and Dale McGlynn of Azalea Drive, Apalachin, was one of a handful of undergraduate students invited to a reception with President George Bush after he delivered the commencement address at Rochester Institute of Technology last May.

Brian was selected to attend the reception in recognition of his role as a student leader. He is General Manager of the student radio station, WITR, which has a listening audience that includes the greater Rochester area. After shaking President Bush's hand for a photo and exchanging a few words, Brian was impressed with the former president's warmth and charm.

Brian also represented the radio station at the Gavin Radio Convention in New Orleans last February, where he met many prominent professionals in the music and radio industry. He has been a volunteer disc jockey at WHRW, Binghamton University's student radio station, for the past three summers. He is currently a senior at RIT where he earned a 4.0 during the spring quarter.
