Instead ofbeing demolished a vacant building on Beach Rd., in Apalachin was destoryed in a controlled burn by the Apalachin Fire Department on June 28,1997. The building which was built by Arthur Bell 88, (below) was in 1933 as a chicken barn. The chicken market collappsed before the barn could be used for chickens and was turned into apartments. It was occupied until last year
