NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

About 200 people gathered in the front of the Court house in Owego on May 1, 1997 tojoin in the National Day of Prayer. The event included music, prayer with local pastors, and a time of silent prayer. Prayers were said for various specific causes including leaders in Washington, our county state and town; fanily concerns, youth, media, racial reconciliation, and forour churches tobe united in Jesus Christ. The day was cloudy as the people gathered at Noon, but when they started to pray the sun came out!
