Business After Hours
The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce and the Spencer Chamber of Commerce announce that "Business After Hours" will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, at A Slice Of Home Bed & Breakfast, 178 North Main Street, Spencer, New York. Advance registrations are requested.

Great Lakes Initiative Compliance Seminar
The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Business Council of New York State's "Great Lakes Initiative Compliance Seminar" which will be held on April 28 in Syracuse, April 29 in Buffalo, and May 1 in Albany. Implementation of the Great Lakes initiative represents a significant shift in the focus of water quality and how companies manage their wastewater discharge. The program will bring participants up to date on what to expect and how to protect the bottom line from potentially onerous regulatory standards. Technical experts from the environmental regulatory field will be on hand to provide practical information on water quality tools and address questions.

Legislative Breakfast
The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce and the Spencer-VanEtten Breakfast Club will cosponsor a legislative breakfast on May 1, 1997. The event will be held at 7:00 am at McCann's Hotel and Restaurant, Waverly Street, VanEtten.
Robert Snashall, Director of the New York State Workers Compensation Board, will be the speaker.
Advance reservations are required for the buffet breakfast. The cost is $3.00 per person and reservations may be made by contacting the chamber. Reservation deadline is April 28.

New Members
The Board of Directors and staff of the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce welcome the following as members of the chamber: American Heart Association, Midstate Region and Clarity Connect.

Dental Plan Offered
The chamber will be offering a new benefit to chamber members - a group dental insurance plan. The effective date for the new benefit is April 1, 1997.
