Economic Development Grant for Tioga County


Stating that funds are needed to promote Tioga County, Assemblyman Jay Dinga, R,C-Chenango Bridge, announced the award of a $12,923 grant for the Tioga County Department of Economic Development.

"I am pleased that Tioga County was selected as a recipient for this valuable grant," said Dinga, who added that the funding will help attract new businesses to the county.

"Both residents and businesses of Tioga County will benefit from these funds which will be used to enhance economic development on a county-wide basis."

The funding, awarded from the New York State Department of Economic Development, will be used by the Tioga County Department of Economic Development to expand the county's economy and attract new business from both the United States and Canada.

"As any resident will testify, Tioga County has a great deal to offer any companies looking to either expand or relocate," said Dinga.

"I was pleased to have had the opportunity to work closely with both

Tioga County's Department of Economic Development and Broome County's Triple Cities Economic Development Zone in providing this fiscal assistance over the past few months. I also was pleased to have been able to help develop Broome County's Economic Zone, and I look forward to working on future development projects that will benefit our community."
