American Girl Workshop
April 13, Sunday, 2-4pm
An "American Girl" workshop features crafts, games, and stories
from the time of "Felicity" (1750's). Girls ages 8 and older
are invited. Fee is $11 and includes all materials for two craft projects.

Comics & Cartoons Night
April 15, Tuesday
Anytime between 6:30 & 8:30 pm
Come read some of your favorite cartoon strips or design one of your own.
Mystery Night
April 17, Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
The library will give extra attention to the mysteries in its collection,
both short and long. Only have a few minutes? Try to solve a two-minute
mystery or take along a logic puzzle to solve at home.
Family Read-In Night
April 18, Friday, 6:30pm
Families are invited to bring a good book, maybe a pillow, and stretch
out and read. In case you fall asleep, reading time will be occasionally
interrupted by scavenger hunts, word searches, and other games.

Why not leave TV behind and spend some time at the library? During the week, the library will have self-guided lessons in origami (paper folding), and special puzzle challenges for the eyes, the hands, the pencil, and the mind. These activities will be available during regular library hours.
Games Night
April 25, Friday, 6:30pm
Everyone is invited to try a new game or play an old favorite. Feel free
to bring a game you might wish to teach others. The origami and puzzles
will also be available that night. Free.

Foster homes are needed in all Tioga County School Districts for children who are temporarily unable to live with their families. Four Foster Parent Information Sessions will be held at the Apalachin Library. For more information, contact Heather Eck, Tioga County Department of Social Services, at 687-8335.
